Death of Frederick Jot Champion Pioneer of West Wyalong

Frederick Jot Champion of West Wyalong died in Sydney aged about 60. He was son of Charlie Crampton and grandson of A Crampton, early settlers with mining and transport interests in the Wyalong district. Survived by wife and three children, five sisters, and five brothers. The funeral was held at St. Taravhas Church and burial in Wyalong Cemetery.

Lawrence argued the town improvement rate increase was steep given the fund condition. garbage rates were cut from 4 pounds 14 shillings per service to 4 pounds per service per week with a discount.
