A new grader costing £725 was added to the Bland Shire plant roster by President Cr A T B Holland and council member Connie Walong at a meeting in Weet Wralong.

The late Mr W H King of West Milby district born Minyto Nicorig 65 years ago lived a full life as a farmer and cattle and sheep breeder. He moved to West Milby with Mrs King and managed property for the war division. A public-spirited farmer he held many local roles and bred prize stock. Survived by Mrs King, two sons William and Frank and daughter Mrs Gibson, with a large funeral at Comdobalin Church of England Cemetery officiated by Rev Mr McAlister.
