Salem Aboud, 57, an Assyrian, collapsed and died while shaving in a Bulow Street barber shop yesterday. He had been ill for some time and suffered cramps. His wife Mrs Aboud, waiting nearby, learned the tragedy only after ambulance crews arrived and the body was removed.
A cattle dog attacked a man yesterday afternoon in Nortiy Wagga causing serious injuries including facial lacerations. A neighbor intervened to beat the dog off and rescue the victim. The dog’s owner and prior history remain unclear.
A resumed address at the Kroll Opera House reports Hitler pledging Germany’s aim for peace and equal status with other nations. He frames rearmament, plebiscites, and non-tariff isolation alongside a sweeping mobilization law forcing military service for men and women, excluding certain groups.
Minister for Health Mr. W M Hughes urged the General Conference of the Methodist Church to unite Christian churches against anti Christ forces. He cited unrest in Russia and Germany and warned disunity weakens Christianity while the world faces upheaval and a shaken faith.

A lorry carrying a group of young people to a dance overturned on the Ayl-Home Hin road early yesterday morning. Vivian Benetes aged 26 died outright and James Breddon aged 20 died later. Several others were injured, some severely, and were taken to hospital after the crash.
