The Neurea and Carlton clubs dominate A grade action on Sunday with standout innings from Les Bell and Len McConnell. Railway batsmen, especially Allan Chalmers, faced tight bowling as Len McConnell delivered seven for seven and Bell added 70. Wellington and Wauluman also won, while Neuren B forfeited to Wellington. The test match excitement builds as Ponsford tops 80 and Kippax impresses on debut, with Grimmett debuting for South Australia and England facing a tough spell before departure.
