Mumbil village grows with Burre ndong dam project
The Burre Ndong dam project brings electricity and water to Mumbil, with 500 housing places planned in four boarding houses for single men, 25 staff cottages, 120 married staff cottages, a new road network, and sub divisions. A 6 mile power line crosses rugged terrain to supply the pumps, and a 6 inch pipeline will transport water from Bell River. High trestle bridges and rock blasting mark the access road and dam site works.
