Communism Still the Big Election Issue

Mr Anthony called communism the chief issue as voters prepared for Saturday polls. He criticized the Labour majority in the Senate, urged support for Fred Cooke of the Country Party, and attacked McGirr and Evatt while promising end to rationing and strong anti communist action. He accused Labour of obstructing promised reforms and warned that the Senate would delay legislation if McGirr returned.
