Thrilling rugby draw as Parkes and Wellington clash at Dubbo
In a tight Dubbo day of rugby Parkes and Wellington forged a 5-5 draw at Rygale Park in one of the period’s larger matches Wellington defending stoutly with four men mid game before Parkes wingman Cowston struck late to level. Parkes captain Eric Tweedale impressed in forward exchanges with Coulston scoring a wide try as Sleeman missed the conversion. Dubbo beat Neuren 5-3 to seal victory, while Yeoval overwhelmed Rovers 20-0 with the heavy Yeoval pack driving through for three tries and a late second half burst.
