Polo teams to contest Countess of Dudley Cup Carnival

Road left in dangerous state near Cumnock after weekend weather
Residents along EBurimbla Road at the Two Mile reported a dangerous hazard with a dirt heap up to 16 inches high blocking the narrow wet surface. A large tree blocked the road after Friday night but was only removed Monday amid record rainfall and a cyclonic storm causing widespread damage to properties, sheds, and roofs across Cumnock. Farm land remains boggy and farmers fear abandoning wheat sowing without extended dry weather. A meeting of the Cumnock Advisory Committee was held in the Shire Hall on Wednesday.
