Higgingon, formerly Tanganyika Resident Magistrate, retired five years ago but offered services again for the war. The couple’s garden at No 20 is praised for thriving through drought. Miss Joan Gardiner visits grandparents at Strathroy Wellington, daughter of Mr and Mrs A. R. Gardiner of Sydney. Mr and Mrs G. C. Burgess of Simpson Street return from Port Macquarie where they had been based. the Burgess brothers are now at the same town in business.
