A Frebbleton message reports an aeroplane piloted by Clifton Albert Burmister, 22, crashed during a no-spin top loop over Frebbleton New Zealand. The aircraft was wrecked and Burmister was killed.
A tyre blew on the Main Western Highway about 12 miles from Nevertire on Saturday evening causing two cars driven by William Blackmore of Canterbury and Bridget Cleary of Guildford to overturn. Bridget Cleary, 39, died 15 minutes after the crash. The other occupants, Mia Blackmore and William Scott, escaped with minor injuries.
Norman Murray appeared before the Paddington Police Court charged with assaulting Constable ONeill. Witnesses said Murray was mad drunk. It was alleged he had burned bedclothes earlier and firemen were called. Murray pleaded guilty citing war wounds and shattered nerves. The magistrate bound him to good behaviour and abstain from liquor.
In Temora a rail level crossing accident involved a train colliding with a utility truck. The driver Charles Wundertak suffered a fractured leg abrasions and shock but survived what was described as a miraculous escape from instant death.
Evelyn Florence May Fletcher won a decree nisi for divorce from Ralph Myatt Fletcher in Sydney Divorce Court. She testified he threatened to cut her throat with a razor after a dispute over her outing. They married in Wellington New South Wales in 1933, aged 18 and 21, with three children. She received custody of the eldest son and reasonable access to the others, whom she could not financially support.
Two fishermen near Ramsgate Baths Botany Bay retrieved a human leg with sock and shoe and part of a spine from their nets. Police believe the skeleton is that of a man who may have drowned while swimming.
Albert Hedgen 51 of Birmingham Street Maryland was shot dead after a quarrel with a widow and her family. He allegedly returned with son in law Fradd. a second quarrel followed and a 22 calibre bullet struck Hedgen in the head. A young man was held at Parramatta police.
At the Hombush sales this morning 2700 cattle were yarded with the market unchanged. Bullocks range £5 to £13/10, cows £4 to £10, beef 40/-, good quality 30/-, medium 0/-, inferior 25/-. Sheep 26,000 penned, market firmer. Weaner 14/- to 22/-, ewes 12/- to 19/-, lambs 14/- to 27/-.
At the local wheat market this morning activity eased with bulk parcels quoted around 4/5 and 4.6 per bushel for bagged lots. Tasmanian potatoes listed 6/6 to 8/4, new laid eggs 1/7, butter 15 1/10, cheese 10d to 10 1d, maize 5/3, onions 3/ -, millet up to £50, chaff and lucerne ranges noted, hay values varying from 7/6 to 7/9 depending on grade.
A Newcastle boy, 17 year old William Howell, disappeared while surfing at North Stockton on Monday. He was seen to raise his hands and vanish beneath the waves as a nearby bark reported a dangerous sea earlier that day. Authorities search for Howell as conditions remain perilous.
The forecast notes a tendency for inflated thunderstorms along the coast and later along the northern border, with fair to warm to hot conditions otherwise. Winds shift to the north and may become fresh with some dust in the west, and patches of morning mist or fog are possible in the east.

Lionel Marshall a 16 year old farm hand was arrested on a charge of attempted murder of Mrs Fanny Spreener. He allegedly lured her to the dining room asked her to look at a "black snake" struck her and ransacked the house during the attack reported Monday in Brisbane.
Retired Education Department official Mr A W Green collapsed while placing flowers at his son's grave in Randwick cemetery and died within minutes.

Herbert Walsteinholme, economics lecturer at Sydney University, drowned in Wyong Creek while being towed on an aqua plane by a speed boat. He overbalanced, fell into the water, surfaced once, then disappeared. he could not swim.
Two cars collided on Cargo Road near Orange injuring four people. Serious injuries include Mrs Rose McLennan and Ernest Allan Rutter with arm fracture and head wounds. Roge Watts and Trene Carr suffered minor injuries. The crash followed a passing attempt on loose gravel. one car overturned after railing and fence impact, ending in a paddock.
