Sydney yarded 2,700 cattle with market unchanged. Cows 4 to 10 pounds, best beef 35 shillings, good quality 90, medium 20, inferior 23. Sheep 44,000 yarded the market a shade better. Wether 5 to 11 shillings, ewes 4 to 10, lambs 5s to 14s 3d, shorn sheep 4d per pound.
The Treasury's Mr Theodore and Commonwealth Bank representatives held talks on financial plans, but discussions were suspended and he did not attend the board meeting yesterday. He left Sydney for Canberra tonight without a statement on yesterday's conference and had earlier held long talks with private banking and financial interests.
