Body found in sea near Broadbeach, Southport
In Brisbane on Monday a partially decomposed nude male body was recovered from the sea between surf bathing fins at Broadbeach Southport. Preliminary medical exam indicated the body had been in the water for weeks with the arms right arm missing and left foot missing likely from shark attacks. Postmortem to be held in Brisbane.

Plane strikes man at Whitford Beach in Perth
Robert Francis Pearcon, 32, of Shenton Park, was struck by a low flying Tiger Moth plane near North Beach Whitford Beach while with two brothers inspecting a crate of fish. He suffered a fractured jaw concussion and fractured collarbone and was knocked unconscious. The plane’s starboard wing caused the collision. Ray Green, Perth inquiry agent, piloted the aircraft.
