Assault Proved P.M. Inflicts Heavy Penalties
Leonard Wanless filed a case against Roy Havey Hood Morgan and Charles Hodges for assault on November 10. Police Magistrate G W Brown convicted the three defendants and fined each £10 with £6 6d expenses and £15 compensation. Witnesses described a two to three minute struggle with punches and wrestling near Mrs Stein's Thornton Street home.
