Two Wellington Men Hospitalized After Carcoar Truck Crash

Two young Wellington men, Colin and Ernest Lemon of Grey Street, were injured when their cement-laden truck crashed into a telephone pole near Carcoar yesterday morning. Ernest, the driver, suffered a broken collarbone, cerebral haemorrhage, and shock. Colin had a deep cut, slight concussion, and a facial wound with eight stitches. The crash caused a power blackout along the Belubula River, with the wrecked truck and thrown cement yards away. The brothers, in the cement haul to Melbourne, were admitted to Carcoar Hospital, with hopes they would be transferred to Wellington Hospital next week.
