The Guildhall celebration drew a large crowd with notable figures including Mr Windham and the Attorney General among cabinet ministers. Dignitaries such as the Dukes of Norfolk and Bedford, Earls Derby and Lauderdale attended, while Lord Mayor and Lord Mayor's party stayed throughout.
