Reproprop tives Works Instructions by Board of Works
The Board of Works lays out conditions for landed proprietors seeking permission under the 6th Victoria cap. 89 to spend on drainage related reproductive works. Projects must directly improve permanent drainage, be overseen by an approved overseer, and paid by fixed task prices. Labour may come from outside districts, with tickets issued by the inspecting officer. When streams border districts, costs are shared by benefiting districts. If the expenditure equals the district’s total levy, no extra baronial assessment applies. if only partial, the remainder supports other public works. By order J C Wakes Secretary.
