Ocean Bride disaster recounted by Electra crew

A letter from Oct 4 aboard the United States storeship Electra describes sighting the stranded Ocean Bride from Laguna Honduras. After a gale wrecked the vessel, the crew of sixteen faced starvation and exposure, with the captain saving five survivors and tending their wounds as they were ferried aboard for nourishment and care. Meanwhile a Redditch porter was robbed of a box containing 116,000,000 needles by a footpad, reported by the Bristol Journal.
