Fragmented OCR chest of local notices and names
A garbled OCR fragment lists scattered names and terms likely from a local notice. It references merchants, presses, debts, and a few personal identifiers, but the text is incomplete and lacks a coherent event or clear entities to anchor a proper summary.
Outrage at Windsor Wagon Incident Leads to Newgate
A Windsor wife Clara Lilley testified of a brutal sexual assault by John Bolton and Thomas Ward, who forced her into a wagon from London to Windsor. Bolton overpowered her, with Ward aiding, as the pair pursued and assaulted her through Hounslow and on to Windsor. The trail moved to Colnbrook, then Windsor where police arrested Bolton and Ward on mayoral warrants. They were committed to Newgate for trial at the Central Criminal Court’s next sessions.
