Assizes reflect a young mason's double marriage charge
A Scotland born mason from Lincoln faced a Midland Circuit court on a charge of bigamy and deception. The jury found him guilty on one count but insanity prevented a full verdict, and he was ordered detained to await the Queen's pleasure after a six month hard labour period was considered.
