The Great Western Sailed and Horticultural Conservatory Plans
The Great Western is reported to have sailed on the 234 ult and is expected to arrive soon. The Horticultural Society of London will build a large conservatory at Chiswick to showcase fruits and flowers from contributors and their own gardens. At the United Service Museum annual meeting Sir Qa. Cockburn chaired as report circulated. The society's year receipts were 2062 pounds 58 shillings 6d, expenditures 1989 pounds 9s 6d, leaving 722 pounds 5d. A motion passed to rename the institution from United Service Museum to United Service Institution.
