Medical Changes at Guy's and Other Hospitals

Dr Bright resigns as senior physician at Guy's hospital. Dr Addison succeeds him. Dr Barlow and Dr Rees named physicians. Dr Golding Bird becomes assistant physician. At St Thomas's, Mr M Nurdo succeeds the late Mr Tyrrell. Mr Guthrie resigns Westminster surgeoncy. Mr H Thompson resigns and runs for surgeoncy, likely succeeding. Candidates include Mr C Guthrie, Mr B Phillips, Mr Alcock, and Mr Lucas for the assistant surgeoncy, with Mr Guthrie widely expected to win. A large recent rise in governors will influence elections.
