Reply of the Home Secretary on Ireland unrest 1848

Supposed Death From Violence at Cheltenham Election

A murder inquiry opens into the death of John Mulesel an elector in Cheltenham after the town election. The body was found in Wyman's brook near Pitville with minor injuries and no drowning signs.
