Extraordinary preservation in Bristol Channel rescue at sea

In the Bristol Channel a young Cardiff joiner named Lattop fell from a scaffold 18 feet into the water while repairing the Duncan Richie near Flat Holmes. He clung to a plank end as he was swept downstream for about 14 miles before three companions and the boat crew reached him after a two and a quarter hour search. The rescue occurred in boisterous weather, with the man exhausted but saved by a courageous pursuit and boat transfer at dawn.
