Ellen Tree dazzles New York debut at Park Theatre

A New York paper lauds Miss Ellen Tree's Park Theatre debut on the 12th alt. She drew a brilliant audience, with boxes sold out days before. She opened in Rosalind and followed with Lady Townly in the Provoked Husband. Critics praise her charm but cite a need for more power and energy. Also noted is Mrs. Brambling planning legal action against Mr. Wood in England. The passage ends with a note on railway project debates ahead of the next session.
