Law on equity and parties in a corporate dispute ruling

In an appeal from a vice-chancellor order, Lord Langdale overruled the demurrer for want of equity but upheld the objection for want of parties. The case concerns a public company selling mines with instalment payments and the necessity to sue all liable parties, not just officers or directors, to protect the property and ensure proper remedies. The judgment discusses receiver appointment and related proceedings in subsequent matters.
