The Seven Maids of Munich at Princess's Theatre
A new musical drama titled The Seven Maids of Munich or The Ghost's Tower opened at Princess's Theatre on Saturday. G Herbert Rodwell wrote and composed it. principal scenes include the seven Bavarian daughters of Baron Bristlebach, their disguises, the French officers, and a finale revealing the baron’s daughters as the true wards of Munich. Performances praised Mr. Allen and Miss Flower but critiqued Rodwell's music as lacking vitality. Compton's dialogue and the stage humor were highlighted as the production’s strength.
