Murder charge at Queen Square over aged woman’s death

Martha Browning, about twenty five, faced Queen Square police court on a murder charge in the case of Elizabeth Mundell, an elderly resident found dead. Witnesses described a tense scene at Browning’s lodging as investigators link notes and a scarf to the crime, while a coroner’s verdict earlier claimed death by self harm during insanity, prompting debate among officials about a full judicial inquiry.
