The Attack on the Pirates of Borneo and Pacific Action

An extract from a private letter describes Admiral Cochrane’s squadron including the Agincourt Vestal Vixen Nemesis and Patt engaging pirates near Borneo. After a tense siege the English burned their town, destroyed stores, and killed or wounded many pirates, with two prisoners escaping. The expedition then moved to a northern section of Borneo to exterminate piracy, facing heavy fire and a cleared route through a river boom. The operation left the enemy devastated and the English victorious.
