Prince Albert's Hussars and Army Letters of 1819
A long correspondence and official censure trace a dispute within Prince Albert's Hussars and wider army circles. Lord Hill condemns a captain’s public letter to Miles while reinforcing discipline, with Prince Regent orders erasing offenders on half pay. A Wall of agency and press debate follows over who published sensitive letters and how justice is administered.

Corn Laws Argument Claimed Beneficial Yet Potatoes Starve Labourers
The duke addressed eighty farmers at the George and argued corn laws aid workers as much as landlords. Critics cite Ashendon magistrates punishing a man who stole potatoes from Mr Fisher at Waddesdon, highlighting hunger and transport as alleged corn-law effects. Another incident reports two brothers found dead in a Shettleston coal pit due to foul air.
