Murder at the George Inn Forefield Cremates Appeal
In a Bathamton parish Crown Court trial Norris Perry was found guilty of murder for aiding in a field fight that ended with Constable John Bailey dead. The judge held Perry responsible as part of a mob resisting peace officers during a May 28 disturbance. A second case, Richard Hall, was acquitted of murder after a Stoke Lane inn brawl ended with coal carrier James Boyce dying from a gunshot fired in self defense. An Oxford Circuit panel also reviewed John Skinner for the willful murder of his wife Sarah Skinner after a fatal clash in Clifton Bristol, detailing a ladder accident narrative and a window fall, with testimony on provocation and self defense.
