Notting Hill Toll Case and Parcel Fraud at Law's Market

In a London courtroom Sir Peter questioned a prisoner about a parcel fraud involving Henry Elliott and Wickens. The man admitted sharing proceeds with Wickens and a carrier, then Wickens identified the Crayford carrier. Separately George Macer faced Tollgate charges at Notting Hill for demanding toll on a horse going to be shod, with defense arguing statutory exemptions under older acts. The bench convicted and fined 40 pounds plus costs to enable appeal, hoping for a higher court ruling.
