Chetwynd introduces a second vehicle to provide full local taxi service. Previously one vehicle caused limited in town trips and occasional long out of town rides. The new service ensures a driver and vehicle are always available in the community. Weather records show 11.37 inches of rain from spring through October 20, near area average.
Chetwynd will switch to new dialing numbers on December 1 at noon unless delays occur. An interim Telephone Directory will be issued with operating instructions. The Advertiser began as a one page sheet on November 23 1961 and plans new offices before its first anniversary.
