Pipeline to be pushed north to Fort Nelson extension
Westcoast Transmission gains Crown land right of way from Fort St. John to Fort Nelson for an 80 inch 220 mile northern gas line. Projected to start 30 inch construction next summer with operation by 1964, amid an $80 to $100 million northern B C capital push and a $60 million initial phase plus processing plant and gathering system.
