Chetwynd Hotel Loung e Opens Evenings for Guests
The Chetwynd Hotel begins evening service in its new lounge though final touches remain. The carpeted lounge with cedar walls is about twice as large as before and indirect ceiling lighting highlights the space. The serving bar is being rebuilt and the new back bar awaits completion. the dining room will open after furniture and equipment are finished. The alterations make the hotel second to none in the Peace River District.

Break-In At Windrem School Leads To Arrests
Two juveniles were arrested after a Windrem School break-in during the night. About $4 to $5 in small change was stolen, and teachers room items including soft drinks were taken or moved. RCMP traced the case quickly, and two Vancouver suspects were later arrested in a stolen car.

All Saints Anglican Church Opens During Peace River Deanery
The Official Opening of the All Saints Anglican Church will be held Monday December 17 in Chetwynd during the Deanery Meeting of Peace River. Rev Arthur McLellan of Dawson Creek will officiate. An Easy Communion follows at 10 30 am and a Service of Thanksgiving at 3 30 pm with Rev Grant Dele delivering the sermon. The Deanery will include Rev Glenish of Beaverlodge from the Diocese of Athebaska. Coffee will be served after evening services.
