Peter Robertson delegates to Girl Guides annual meeting
Mrs. Peter Robertson of Chetwynd served as a Peace River Division delegate to the Girl Guides of Canada BC Council annual meeting in New Westminster April 18 and 19. About 600 adult leaders and delegates from 211 BC parts attended. topics included guiding moral standards and attracting leaders amidst competing organizations. The closing banquet featured remarks by John Haar and greetings from the Boy Scouts. Lieutenant Governor George Pearkes presented awards. In Fort St John, Angus Carmichael joined Fort St John Lumber as secretary treasurer and controller, while Moore Ranches expands from Chetwynd logging to operate on Fort St John holdings and Moberly Lake West end ranch.
