Rural Municipality of Lakeside No 338 held in the Council Chamber at Quill Lake on August 7 with Reeve Revell presiding. Sergeant W H Harrison recalls a perilous air duel high over German lines. As gunner and observer in a British biplane, he and an unnamed officer engaged a German craft, diving from 11 000 feet to 6000 feet while pursuing the foe. The rapid descent he describes reached speeds near 156 miles per hour as the fight intensified.
A single handed death occurred in his house, with Paul Acker named as an enemy figure in connection to the case. No further details available.
