H A Green announces a silver cup awarded to the owner of the winning team in the General Purpose class for one year. To become permanent, the cup must be won three consecutive years. Past winners include members from 1912 1914 1915 1918 with names partially lost in the OCR.
Over $850 in cash prizes and ribbons announced for the Canadian Baskers competition and pig classes. Pigs born on or after March 15 1918 may compete with one calf or pig entry per exhibitor. Exhibitors must own and care for animals for six weeks and have a parent or guardian sign the required certificate.
The Saskatchewan Swine Breeders Association executive announces three prizes totaling 15.00 for best pair of spring pigs including sows or barrows, pure bred or grade. Entries require current membership in the association and pigs shown in the sow with litter class are ineligible.
The Saskatchewan Live Stock Associations executive offers diplomas and honors across various breeds. Awards include Best Pure Bred Beef Bull and Best Pure Bred Dairy Animal. diploma recognitions extend to Sheep and Swine classes under the Saskatchewan Breeders' Association.
Frank Gourley offers $5 for the best colt from Iron Duke and $3 for second. Thos. Welch presides. Pair of Lady's Shoes awards a high class stock to the best Leghorns. A Gasoline Fiat Iron prize goes to the best Plymouth Rocks pair.
Schwinghamer and Felix post a five dollar Crockery award for the best crock of butter shown, inviting participants to enter their dairy product for judging.
Western Canada Flour Mills Co limited advertises Purity Government Standard Flour for prizes in home bread and buns. Non professional bakers compete for best two loaves and best dozen buns using the flour. Prizes awarded for 49 pounds of flour.
