The minister toured three country churches to display slides and discuss wounded soldiers healing and self support. He noted the slides ease unrest in families fearing maimed veterans must sell belongings and urged wider showing in communities to curb prejudice and boost recruitment.
The March 1017 meeting opened by the Reeve at the municipal office in Young. Present were QA Campbell Wm Duncan J & Davidson L O Walstrom and Aug Hemmingson. Minutes read and approved. Delegates named to the Municipal Convention in Saskatoon March 7 8 and 9. Secretary to attend the Bp Tranvar to secure long disconnections for Young.
Rev J F Cox officiated as Miss Alice Rose wed in Saskatoon at the home of her parents Mr and Mrs John Johnson on March 28. Attendants included Miss Gladys Johnson and Mrs Stanley Wilson, with Mrs Wilson wearing fur. The couple plan to reside in White Bear Sask after a stay in Saskatoon.
In Watrous a Conservative reorganizing meeting was held Tuesday night to prepare for an upcoming provincial election. Officers elected include President J H, Vice-President Jas, Secretary-Treasurer K Garrett, and a committee of Henderson, A Mollard, Water Be ye ea lees, and Epler. The event aimed to boost campaign readiness with the theme Bow to Build Up Town presented by Rev W Wilton and inviting Mayer and Ovewall Born.
Correspondent Pte T. H. Skinner, 214th Battalion, on furlough here. Mrs. T. Morrison and Mrs. B. Baxter hosted parties on Tuesday and Wednesday. Tom Halliday returned to Beaverdale farm from Sask. Homemakers Club fundraiser features a Poplar Park pie supper. U G A sixth annual concert rescheduled to March 23. Third whist drive drew about forty players. winners included Mrs. Baxter and Mrs. Bitton.

A Co- Operative Elevator Co. for Watrous and district appears likely after a meeting last Tuesday. Farmers subscribed shares at 50 dollars each with a 15 percent initial call. Over 180 shares are subscribed and substantial land pledged, signaling strong early support though no erection steps have begun.
A grand Patriotic Bonspiel opens in Watrous with 27 rinks including 4 ladies rinks. Gentlemen pay 1 dollar, ladies free, proceeds to the Patriotic fund. Four prize sets offered per event. games consist of ten ends with play times at 4 7 and 9 p m daily. draws posted at the rink for curlers to follow.
The Red Cross Society acknowledges donations from Andrew Johnston R H Page Mrs Garrett and M Marshfield with thanks. Our March donation to the Fund is noted and the Aathograph Quilt remains unfinished and will be exhibited at Hixon's Drug Store before shipment to J Cheds Military.
