Premature Death of Clarence Wright in Venn Area
Clarence Wright, a 26 year old unmarried man from Venn, was treated for peritonitis after admission to the hospital. His condition grew critical late in the week and an operation was performed, but he died early Sunday morning after only a few hours of life. His father, residing at Wyoming, was notified of the death.

Community Activities Highlight Poplar Park Winter Socials
At Poplar Park the final whist drive of the season was held with seven tables. The Entertainment Secretary reported winter social events including debates, dances, socials, a cream or pie social, a social on Good Friday, and box socials. A new three ring oil stove was purchased for community use and $203.00 raised since November 1st. Prizes went to Mrs. R Baxter and W Allin, with standings for HB Morrison, W Allin, W D Summers, Mrs. Baxter, J Urquhart and others. The Plymouth G G A heard a Moose Jaw report by S E Lapp. The local tennis club planned a first class clay court with alternate Saturday play.
