NEW YORK Mr Hughes Funeral mentioned in a British Commonwealth talk by Australian External Affairs Minister R G Casey. Charters Towers suffered heavy damage after a cyclonic thunderstorm struck late Thursday afternoon. Mount Carmel College and the Christian Brothers’ college reported damage but no injuries.
