A 15 year old girl, in the state's care and missing for over three months from Woeleswin Industrial Home, left Dalby in custody for Brisbane to be returned to the State Children's Department. Located on Coomrith Station 30 miles south of Meandarra after police traced her from Brisbane, she had been employed by a doctor and earned fare to Meandarra. A man linked to her escape had been released from gaol two weeks prior.
