Soldier’s Greeting Is BroadcastStaff Sgt. Ernest DeDycker, now serving with the Army Atr forces in the South Pacific, broadcast a message home during the past week to nls mother and wife, telling them ‘everything is okay and I’m heading out again right away.”The message was broadcast over a nation-wide C. B. S. program. A recording of the message was made and has been forwarded to Mrs. Julie DeDycker, his mother, and Mrs. Viola DeDycker, hia wife, at 534 Edison.The Butte soldier made his broadcast from Hawaii, where he has been in a rest camp after seeing combat duty in several sections of the South and Central Pacific, including the battle of the Gilbert islands. He enlisted In the service in January, 1M2, and has been overseas for the past year, serving as a gunnery engineer with the Seventh Air force.His message was: ‘The oldSeventh Air force Is really sw’arming over the Central Pacific these days. Tell Mom and Viola I'm okay and I'm heading out again right away.”
