WILL LECTURE AT Y. M. C. A.J. A Dummett to Describe Mountain Climbing in West.‘•Mountain Climbing in the Pacific Northwest*' will be described with stere-opticon views, In a free public lecture, by J. A. Uummett, of Seattle, Wash., at the Y. M. C, A. to-night. Mr. Dummett describes the Alps and contrasts the pictures of Alpine scenery with those of the American Northwest. He is an experienced mountain climber, having spent sis seasons in Burope and ten years in the mountains of America,Syngman Rhee, a native Korean, will lecture on his country and its customs at the Y. M. C, A. Wednesday evening, The lecture will be illustrated with eighty views, and the atory of what is commonly called The Hermit Nation will be vividly and entertainingly told.Mr. Rhee came to Washington a few years ago to complete his course for the bachelor of . arte degree in George Washington University. His struggle in the face of tremendous odds came to a climax recently, when his- health was threatened so seriously that he was advised by his physician to give up the coveted, degree for this year. Indomitable faith and will seemed to triumph, however, and the applause which greeted the Korean on th4 presentation of his diploma last Wednesday by Dean Wilbur was enthusiastic*
