Frank Hastings, 87, Passed Away At Emmetsburg. Father Of Mrs* Asa Hankeyy | Franklin Hastings, 87, of Emmets-0,isburg, passed away last Thursday. He had been ill for two months. The funeral was held Monday at Trinity Episcopal church with the Rev, Prichett, of Mason City, officiating. Mr. Hastings was bom in Chicago d January 12, 1862, In 1SGS his parents homesteaded on a farm near the St. John cemetery at Emmetsburg. Hence Frank Hastings was a resident of Paio Alto county for 84 years. He was a carpenter by trade and helped 2 build Assumption church , and the ^ ! Methodist church. The writer knew , [him for a great many years and we ~ always had a high regard for him., He is survived by his wife and by a son and daughter. The daughter ta Mrs. Asa Hankey, of the Osgood vicinity, and the son is W. F, Hast-:1, ings, of Washington, D. C. Then;^ | arc five grnnchildren and two great ^ igrandchildren.'
