Public notices mention York Peninsula annual meeting and local festivities.
A Moonta soiree will be held in the Globe Hotel Assembly Room on Thursday 24 October to aid the Saint’s Parsonage Building Fund. Rev Denner chairs. Amateurs perform songs duets and recitations. Moonta Giles Club provides choruses. Doors open 7 pm. admittance 1s 6d, reserved 2s 6d. Tickets at the door. Also sermons and a public meeting at Moonta Mines with Rev Standrin and Rev Trewin.
The Yorke's Peninsula Building Society is formed with subscriptions set at £100 per share and weekly payments of £4 or £5 per week. Entrance fees are 24s 6d and 1s 6d. Shares payable to the Secretary at the Medical Institute on Mondays. Officials named include Me H Hooper Jackson William EH Harris. Also reports railway passenger truck times and a circus advertisement touring Kadina Moonta Riverton and other towns with dates in October.
