Wallaroo Telegraph Office Savings Bank Opens in 1867
An 1867 notice lists telegraph township offices for savings deposits from one shilling to £500 with interest up to £2650. Local accountants per township include Clare Gawler Goolwa Kooringa Strathalbyn Wallaroo. Also advertising cash groceries and a wallaroo firewood and engineering services, land sale, and route plans to Port Augusta.
