Survivors recount Captain M Yerabu of the Japanese steamer Kinsen Maru lashed to the bridge as the ship listed and sank. After a gale and flooding, twelve crewmen reached a lifeboat. they drifted three days with no oars, rigging a sail from clothes and wire.
