Robert Horwood has gone to Clarenville to teach this year, James Roberts was here this week.
Week of transit and visits includes Mrs W W Baird and Mrs W Harvey in Clyde with stays at Eleanor Roberts and Harry Peyton. Dr Keke and med students arrived from USA for medical work, with Nurse Doris Downer accompanying. Several teachers and locals departed by Clyde or motor boat, while Rev Spurrell preached at St Peter's and Lenora Warr resumed teaching Horwood.

Redwing motor launch visited Monday and departed Tuesday for a business trip north. Ronald B. Pittman master arrived from St John’s yesterday morning with freight for local firms. Little Grace transported traveling salesmen to Roberts Arm on Monday.
The Women’s Association of the North Side United Church hosted a Soap Supper at Frazer Hall on Wednesday night. Despite earlier rain, the event drew attendees and raised 36 dollars for their church work.
Thomas Arklie manager of the Botwood Railway died suddenly at Botwood on Monday. A Scotchman by birth he settled in Grand Falls with the A N D Co Ltd in early days. He married Florence Gillingham about thirty years ago and is survived by five sons. Interment was at Grand Falls on Wednesday as mourners express sympathy to the Arklie family.
As we go to press we learn with deep regret of the death of Frederick House post master at Memorial Hospital last evening at six o'clock.
