Records show branch collections from Primmer House to Tickle Point and from Jenkins' Cove to Durrell. Totals include multiple donors, with large sums from South Side and Ashbourne entities, plus careful balance carryovers from July issues and a final total of 128 65.

The schooner Speed Queen arrived Thursday from the fishery amid heavy loading, reflecting a strong catch and busy port activity.
National Day of Prayer observed on the 16th Sunday after Trinity with services at St Peter's and St Andrew's including Holy Communion Matins Evensong and Sunday School. Additional gatherings in Eaton Little Harbour North Side Crow Head and other locales feature Layman Rev T J Pitt and evening prayer and salvation services. All welcome.

Mr. John T. White has enlisted and passed his medical test for the Artillery. Mr. Alfred Jenkins has also joined up with the Artillery.
