Harvest Festival will be served in Frazer Hall at 6 o clock Monday night October 30. Tickets are 40 cents and available at the stores or at the door. An auction sale of vegetables will follow the supper.
The schr C Lindberg with James Adey master was total wrecked on Oct 17 after leaving St Johns with cargo. Three crew members escaped to land as the vessel struck rocks at Low Point near Carbonear in thick weather. Built 1927 at Twillingate, 25 tons, owned by Captain Adey. no insurance.
At the court five men pleaded guilty to Dog Act breaches. Sentences included fines of $4.50 or 3 days for two men and $200 or 3 days for two men, with one sentence suspended. All fines were paid. The magistrate noted the impounding order remains in force and dogs may not roam until it is revoked.
As we go to press we report the death of Mrs. Lucy Stockley at Crow Head. Funeral today at N 8. Church conducted by Rev. T. J. Pitt.
St. Peter's Sanctuary Guild hosts a Masquerade Hallowe'en Social in the Parish Hall on Tuesday October 31. Program starts at 8 with judging around 9. Admission 25c. Doors open 7:30. Ice cream for sale. Prizes for two best costumes.

Thanksgiving services are planned at North Side and Little Harbour churches with invitations to attend.
